Theresa Yim PA-C
Theresa Yim PA-C is a board certified physician assistant. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at University of California, Davis, and later went on to obtain her master’s degree in Medical Sciences at Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania. She completed clerkships and rotations at hospitals and health centers in cardiology, general surgery, emergency medicine, and internal medicine.
Before progressing to specialize in vascular surgery, Ms Yim spent 6 years as a primary care provider at Northeast Medical Services. She worked with the underserved community and continues this tradition at the San Francisco Vein Center. Ms Yim primarily sees patients in the office and hospital and is first-assistant to Dr Aquino in surgeries. With years of experience with injections, she has become a “go to” provider for sclerotherapy for spider veins. Ms Yim also works closely alongside Dr. Aquino giving care for patients who are critically ill with other vascular disease.
Having grown up in San Francisco and Pacifica, Ms Yim is passionate about serving her community. She is a native Cantonese speaker and helps to bridge language barriers for many patients. She provides compassionate and culturally competent care to all communities we serve.
Theresa Yim is on medical staff at Seton Medical Center and St. Mary’s Medical Center. Her professional affiliations include the California Academy of PAs and the American Academy of PAs. She has also volunteered years of service with Rotocare Bay Area Free Clinics.
